Long-established as the preeminent launching pad for emerging contemporary art, SCOPE recognizes the significant cultural impact of VH1’s You Oughta Know Initiative, which exposes new musical talent worldwide. Through a series of curatorial collaborations on-air, online and on-site in Miami, SCOPE and VH1 are teaming up to celebrate and amplify the creativity of emerging visual art.
Returning to Miami with a new location on the most highly-trafficked gateway to the Midtown Arts District, SCOPE Miami’s monumental pavilion will be accompanied by The VH1 Outdoor Lounge, located at N.E. 36th St and Midtown Blvd. The premier destination to discover new talent in music, art and beyond, the VH1 Outdoor Lounge will be accessible to all SCOPE visitors for the duration of the fair, December 4 – 9, 2012.
On Thursday, December 6th, The SCOPE Miami Official Party will be presented by VH1 and feature groundbreaking You Oughta Know musical talent from VH1’s impressive roster, alongside SCOPE & VH1 co-curated visual work
Launched in 2004, VH1′s “You Oughta Know” franchise introduces promising new artists on the rise to VH1′s base of music lovers. Many “You Oughta Know” artists have gone on to win industry awards and accolades including “Best New Artist” Grammy Awards and nominations.
