Yo Miami began as a passion for art, music and Miami, bringing together creatives from all walks of life. They strive to shine a light on the elements of Miami culture that should be recognized and celebrated. In an attempt to open the door to the local art scene and invite in everyday average people, Yo Miami is organizing the soft opening for its new home Yo Space, a gallery and artist collective, on Sunday June 3rd. To celebrate the occasion there will be an indoor market of sorts where their two resident artists along with 10 other local artists will be displaying their wares. The artists will be selling everything from original works, to limited edition prints, and merchandise (apparel, accessories, and more). The twist is that they’re capping the selling price at a max of $250 per item. This means visitors can walk away with an original piece of art to brighten up their homes or to offer as a unique gift for less than the price of an iPod.
With a ping pong table and hookahs available free of charge, there will be no shortage of entertainment. Coolhaus food truck will be stopping by and Adrian Gonzalez from Suenalo will be performing as well.
