Record Store Day at Radio-Active Records

April 12th, 2012 -

Record Store Day is an internationally recognized event celebrating the love of music through local independently run record stores. Fort Lauderdale’s own Radio-Active Records has partnered with Subculture, a local venture bringing events to communities, to create a new and exciting experience for the community. Along with some of South Florida’s own bands, DJs, and food/arts vendors, Radio-Active Records and Subculture are bringing the community together over the discovery of new music. Record Store Day will be taking place on Saturday, April 21, 2012.

As our first combined event, we worked closely with the staff of Radio-Active Records to support their mission of helping people discover and rekindle their interest in both new and local music found within their community, as well as other elements,” says Phillip Roffman, CEO of Subculture. The partnership has allowed for some new and exciting features for their Record Store Day event, such as the addition of local food trucks, craft vendors, and giveaway promotions.
